Brief

Mimecast offers a wide range of services designed to protect and manage an organisation’s communications. These services are built on a cloud-native platform that leverages advanced technologies to provide comprehensive security and resilience. As part of their ongoing yearly research project (now in its ninth year with Vanson Bourne), Mimecast wanted to continue to develop this survey to focus increasingly on the ‘human’ aspect of communications cyber security, while retaining some elements of the historical data for comparison.

Solution

We conducted a quantitative research study, keeping geographies similar to previous years, and making recommendations on which questions to keep, adjust or replace entirely with this revamped focus in mind. In addition, we also recommended conducting three qualitative interviews with the relevant respondent type, in order to bring the ‘human’ aspect to life through quotes.

Outcome

Mimecast used the research findings to create an eBook and infographic, that focused on the human element in modern communication cybersecurity.
